Ask exactly when the rental starts and ends. Clarify whether the owner uses the home for part of the year and what the quoted price includes. Keep the agreed information in writing.
Check how the home works in winter
Ask about heating, insulation, moisture, ventilation and shade. Air conditioning alone does not explain how a building performs. Find out which bills and maintenance costs are additional.
Try the everyday journey
Check transport for your dates, nearby shops and services, and internet availability at the actual address. If step-free access matters, verify the entire route from the street into the home, rather than only asking whether there is a lift.
